Dr. Jeff Smith grew up in Florida where he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida.
After spending his first year of practice at a small animal hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dr. Smith relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio where he began a career in emergency medicine.
In his 20+ years of emergency medicine practice in Cincinnati, Dr. Smith served as the Emergency Department Head for a large emergency and specialty practice and gained a wide range of experience in all aspects of emergency medicine and specialty care.
Dr. Smith and his family were excited to relocate to Virgina in 2022 to begin the next chapter of his career including small animal general practice, urgent care and emergency care.
When not partnering with clients to provide the best care for their pets, Dr. Smith enjoys outdoor activities, music, photography and spending time with his wife, 4 children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats.
